NEC 110.14 requires that conductor terminations be made at devices listed for the temperature rating of the conductor. If a 75°C-rated conductor terminates on a 60°C-rated terminal, the conductor ampacity must be based on:

• The 90°C column since the conductor is rated 90°C
• The 75°C column of Table 310.16
• The average of the conductor and terminal ratings
• The 60°C column — the lowest rating of any connected termination
